Chapter Newsletter - January - March 2006
The CCAPA has closed out a successful year. We have increased our program offerings, engaged with allied professions and
organizations, continued to help shape legislation, and laid the foundation for a more effective and efficient
organization. The Chapter’s annual report, available on our new website, reviews our accomplishments in more detail.
We look forward to building on our 2005 success. Organizationally, we will conduct focus group meetings to gauge
our members’ opinions on how to make CCAPA more valuable. We will also investigate options to secure administrative
support for Chapter business operations.
Importantly, the planning challenges and opportunities facing Connecticut and its communities are becoming more central
to the public debate. Growth management, affordable housing, transportation and infrastructure investment, and economic
development are among the issues that will be in the forefront next year. CCAPA intends to contribute to all of
these important discussions. We urge our members to become involved with CCAPA to the extent that you can throughout
2006, and also to be involved both in your work and in your communities on these critical issues.
